The year of 2025 saw Throwdown deliver five unforgettable darting events to the west midlands.

Starting the year off strong, we showcased the Pride of the Midlands on the 24th January. A night of fierce competition and local pride, the crowd cheered on professionals; Reece Colley, Dan Hands, Dan Nicholls, Cayden Smith, Dan Astbury, Ieuan Halsall, Wayne Jones and Ryan O Connor and some of the creators from team Throwdown. After a tough battle, ‘The wanderer’ Wayne Jones came out on top, winning the title of Throwdowns West Midlands champ, setting the tone for the incredible darts yet to come throughout the year.

"On the 11th April, Throwdown went Bunting mental when ‘The Bullet’ Stephen Bunting headlined the stage with a performance of his go to karaoke song, ‘gold’. VIP’s were given the opportunity to meet Stephen and received a signed professional photograph to remember their night."

ack on the stage, Bunting challenged creators such as Dicko’s Darts, Minimize and Josh Pearson. With Stephen winning all three legs, it was now the crowd’s chance to bid on the chance to play him up on the stage. The atmosphere in the room was one that will never be forgotten.

The summer saw world champion Michael Smith join us on the Throwdown stage. Taking part in the ‘beat the pro’ youtube series on the Throwdown channel, Michael took on three of TikTok’s most watched darts creators and was even conquered by ‘The Bear’ Neil Birkin. After a meet, greet and photo opportunity, the crowd had the chance to take on the former champ live on the Throwdown stage. With videos of this event becoming our most watched on the Throwdown youtube channel, it was clear that not only did the fans in the room have an incredible time, those watching at home did too.

In November, it was time for round two of our annual Pro-Am event where the pro’s team up with creators for the chance to get their hands on a large cash prize and most importantly, bragging rights. Surprisingly, Team Tom Bissell and Luke Bod fell at the first hurdle, letting Team Tom Sykes and Darts Anonymous take home the title. Throwdown’s Pro-Am will be back in 2026, and we’d love to hear who you would like to see on the stage.

And finally we ended the year with our first Throwdown Christmas Party, joined by Scott Williams, Bradley Brooks and some fantastic creators. A brilliant night was had by all, including Luke Bod’s icy doubles partner who spent the entire game holding him up on his shoulders.
